Hello Friends,
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the world? Maybe pressure from the demands at work or those temptations to take the easy way out of responsibility? We have been reminded again and again that the key to victory is... faith in Jesus Christ. This is true for our salvation which was by faith, but it's also true for our daily lives as we have a consistent abiding faith, an ongoing reliance upon Jesus Christ. The life of abiding in Jesus Christ is the life that overcomes the pressures and temptations of the world. As we entrust our lives in the hands of Jesus Christ we can safely rest and find peace when we get our eyes back on the Lord. It's so easy to loose perspective which is another reason why we need to be daily in the Bible and prayer spending time with the Lord.
Our good news this update is that we heard back from our Realtor in California this morning that someone saw our house liked it and they are talking to their lender today. We are hoping something good will come out of that as we believe and pray steadfastly that our house back in Chico will sell. Please join with us in prayer that our house will sell so that we can focus more of our time and resources on the Church Plant here. Also we celebrated Joshua's birthday as he turned two on the 25th and we had a blessed time with family at a local pizza restaurant. We were able to surprise Joshua as distant family joined us also on Skype for a four-way live video chat. Thank you so much for your love, prayers and support for our family! And please let us know how we can be praying for you.
Praise God For:

- The time we got to spend with our new friends from Bemidji (Pastor Chris and his family) as they came into town for their kids soccer games.
- Our neighbors Jeff and Missi who had us over for dinner and for a wonder time with their family. Jeff is the principal at a Christian High School. (As a kid I spent sometime in the principals office but never over to his house for dinner, thank you Jesus)
- Us being able to visit some more local churches in town which allows for us to get to know the other Pastors and their families.
- Friends and family that have been helping take care of our home back in California. From mowing the lawn to fence repairs, thank you!
Please Pray For:
- Our house back in Chico to sell to the right person, for the right price and at the right time.
- Cooler weather for us as the temperature is ranging from 100* to 105* due to the high humidity.
- Us to have boldness to share the Gospel and for us to continue to depend upon the Holy Spirit as He leads us to share the Gospel.
- Our outreach using Harvest America in September as we seek to begin a home fellowship with weekly Bible studies soon after.
- Us as we come out to Chico for a wedding. We will be leaving Wednesday on 10/23 and fly back Tuesday on 10/29.
