Dear Friends & Family,
Spring is here! In reflecting on the ministry of Jesus one thing that really sets it apart from all other religious establishments of the day was how Jesus chose a group of ordinary men and empowered them immediately to own the ministry.
Jesus chose passionate followers, not perfect people. He chose everyday people, not religious leaders. He chose those who were teachable and hungry, not scholars and experts. He chose men ready to serve, not proven leaders. He looked places no one else looked. He saw things in people no one else saw, and He empowered them to do ministry.
One of the greatest evangelists who ever lived was Dwight Lyman Moody. Moody was a shoe salesman when God called him. A man named Edward Kimball had a leading of the Holy Spirit to go and talk to Moody about the Lord. He came to faith and then became a powerful evangelist who impacted the world. Moody went from selling soles to saving souls.
He was just an ordinary guy but he was used by God in a powerful way. When you look at the first disciples Jesus chose in the Gospel accounts and who He has used throughout History it gives hope to those of us who are ordinary. Why? Because God looks on the heart, and God uses ordinary people, just like us and just like you. God has invited us all into His ministry.

- Please pray for our upcoming Harvest America Outreach on Sunday June 11th.
- Please pray for our family as we continue our Foster Care & Adoption journey.
- Please pray for the fellowship here to continue to grow closer to Jesus.
- Please pray for us as we plan a trip to the West Coast in early September.
- Please pray that believers throughout the area would continue in a healthy relationship with Jesus. As the weather improves after such long winters here, many often put church attendance on the back burner, opting instead to spend weekends on the water.
- Praise God that we were recently able to get out for another date night! Anna's mother, Cindy was able to watch the kids for us while she was visiting. (see pic at top. Yes, we were "matchy-matchy". Yes, we planned it that way.)
- Praise God for more family visiting. Anna's grandparents Rich and Donna were able to watch the kids for our 20hr Foster Care / Adoption Training.
- Praise God for the Ladies' Retreat this spring/ It was well attended and all about 'At Thy Word'. The Holy Spirit worked on the heart of every lady who will attend. May the Lord continue the work He wants to do!
- Praise God that He is sending a steady flow of individuals and families to the fellowship that are hungry and searching for truth in His Word.
- Praise God for a wonderful baptism and for Jesus Christ changing lives! Old habits and ways of thinking are being left behind as the Holy Spirits begins to make things new in the lives of believers here.
May the blessings of the Lord Jesus be upon you!
