Many Mini Updates

I have been intending to write this post for about a week now.  I'm sorry it didn't happen sooner.  Everything is fine here with us.  Tim is busy working from home and picking up my slack here around the house while I am just trying to make it through each day at this point.  I think I am turning into a baby myself.  It seems all I do each day is eat and sleep.  I guess I'm just storing up energy for the big day (and many days afterward!)

Well, we have finally started getting some summer weather out here in sunny California.  Not so great for pregnancy but fantastic for growing fruit.  We have been enjoying the tasty plums and nectarines off our fruit tree.  Now if only we could keep the birds from eating the peaches!  We have tied strips of mylar tape in the tree and hung reflective discs with owl's eyes printed on them but neither seems to be working.  Any suggestions?

Andrew graduated from bootcamp with the Army National Guard last week!  Yay!  He is now in his first week of his specialized training to be a Chaplain's Assistant.  My parents were blessed to be able to attend his graduation in South Carolina and they had a great time.  I wanted to be there so badly but it wouldn't have worked out well with my pregnancy.  We are all so happy for Andrew that he finally found something he knows he is called to.  The Lord's timing is prefect.  He looks great, feels great and is doing great in his new role.  These are some pictures that were taken of him during bootcamp and I downloaded them off the Facebook page for his company.

Joshua is doing well.  This weekend will mark 36 weeks (9 months).  So we are in the home stretch.  Speaking of "stretch", he seems to be very frustrated that he is running out of room in my tummy.  Many ladies have told me that as they neared the end of their pregnancy that the baby stopped moving as much. Not so with Josh.  There are many times when I can feel his back pushing against one side of my stomach and hands and feet pushing out on the other.  Maybe he will come early?  We have maternity portraits scheduled for next weekend, so anytime after that, I'm ready!  I start seeing my OB every week as of next week, so we'll see what kind of progress I'm making.  Here are my most recent baby bump pictures.  The nursery is coming along very well.  There are just a few more little things to take care of in the decorating department and then we should be set!  I'll post pictures when it's all done.

35 weeks

Well, that's about all I can think of for now.  More updates will come soon, I'm sure.  I think it's about time for another nap.
