"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
- Lamentations 3:22-23
Dear Family and Friends,
Wow,
the year 2020 went by fast and for many of us COVID-19 was a big part
of influencing this last year. We certainly hope that you and your
family are safe and healthy. Quite a lot of us had our lives turned
upside down last year, and we hope that 2021 is healthy and fruitful.
Here
in the Midwest we have been unusually busy with ministry. We found
ourselves as one of the few churches in our area that remained open even
after the restrictions were lifted. We saw many people attend our
services who were hungry for the Word of God and fellowship with other
like-minded believers. In the last six months we have doubled in size as
a church fellowship and have quickly outgrown our capacity limits at
the YMCA. We were thinking it might be a short term situation but week
after week we see the same familiar faces coming back and new families
joining in the mix. It is a good "problem" to have!
Because
of this new situation our church leadership team has been looking all
over town for a larger place where we could meet, and we believe we have
found a place. We have been in prayer over this direction and recently
shared the news with our church fellowship to join us in prayer. Here is
a video sharing with our church fellowship about a building we are
looking at for future church services.
At
this point we are working with the city and the owner of the building
to keep moving forward. Currently, we are waiting for the results from
an inspection before we make an offer on the building. At this point we
are asking for your prayers for us. We desire to please the Lord and use
everything we have for His glory. We thank you again for your desire to get our updates, thank you
for your prayers, and thank you for your support!
PS.
We have a Roku channel and now have around 500 people a week watching
our church services and Bible studies online. Pray for them to grow in
the Lord and in His Word.
