Dear Family and Friends,
It has been some time since we have communicated with you. This is not to say that nothing has been happening.
We
have seen lives surrendered to Christ, people overcome depression,
people search for God, and find their direction and calling in Christ.
We have been moving forward steadily ever since God called us to the
Midwest (of all places) and we have seen the mighty hand of God move
greatly. We realize more than ever that it is not about big numbers, but
rather lives that are changed from the inside out. Today many churches
try to come up with a strategy and formula or try to incorporate what’s
working well in other churches. We have seen God use the most unlikely
people in the most unconventional ways for the purpose of furthering His
kingdom for His name's sake. I'll attempt to share some of the
highlights of our lives with you all below.
Our church fellowship has truly become our spiritual family and our small fellowship is growing in the Lord and His Word.
One of the men on our church leadership team recently got married to a Godly woman, and we were blessed to be apart of it all.
We were able to have a mini-family reunion and continue to do foster care (prayers are appreciated).
Tim
and Josh were able to participate in a run to support our local
Pregnancy Resource Center that affirms the value of all human life.
We got to participate in our
annual
city-wide worship service with now twelve churches showing our unity as one in Jesus Christ.
We got to see Tim's Dad and step-Mother and celebrate his 60th birthday.
We've been blessed with hearing Caleb sing worship songs unto the Lord, even in jammies.
We also got to spend some time up in the Duluth area, both at a Day out with Thomas the train and at Gooseberry Falls.
Our boys got Jr. Officer badges from a local police officer we have become friends with and keeps our neighborhood safe.
Tim got to visit with Nick Hall (founder of the Pulse Movement) and Jim Black (fellow church planter and Chaplin were Tim works at too) whom has become a close friend.
We got to take Josh and Caleb to a rural event in the country and the boys got to see some tractors up-close.
We also got celebrate Joshua's 7th birthday as well as our foster care child's 5th birthday.
God
is doing a mighty work in Josh and he is now co-leading our Children's
ministry. For the last four weeks he has read the lesson from his own
Bible, given accurate application and coordinated a skit!
And lastly Anna has been doing great with homeschooling our boys and since we are now expecting our 3rd son due in mid-January.
God
is at work here in the Midwest and people are turning to Christ. Many
are tired of the status quo and ready for something real. Please join us
in prayer as we seek to help more people in our community come to Jesus
Christ!
PS. Please also pray for Summer Root as she
comes out soon to share with our fellowship about the Lord's work in
Africa and through her life.
Thank you for our constant prayers and emails of encouragement! We love you all!
