Molter Family - CCFF 2018 Q1 Update

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." - Psalm 46:1

Dear Family and Friends,

The New Year is a great time of reflection, to look back on all that the Lord has done and look forward with anticipation to all He intends to do in the coming year. For us, we felt the Lord encouraging us that 2018 would be a year of great fruitfulness. You can imagine our joy and excitement to see God fulfilling His promise as we soon found out we were expecting identical twins!

However, we learned some time later that tragically our babies no longer had heart beats. The enemy truly comes to kill, steal and destroy. But God is still good. And despite our deep hurt, confusion and despair God was continuing to be at work. Because Jesus came to bring us life eternal, we know we will see our children again in the arms of Jesus in Heaven. God has reminded us of His promises and we know that He is forever faithful.

Over the last few weeks we have had amazing opportunities to share the Gospel and the hope of Heaven we have in Jesus, whether we be in trials or times of joy. And He is bringing the fruit! We are seeing God open the door for conversations with many people both near and far, and we are seeing right before our eyes, men and women strengthened in their relationship with Jesus as they seek out truth found only in God's Word.

As a fellowship we are growing closer together, more like family than ever as people are finally feeling "at home" for the first time in years. God is so good. And during our time of hurting, we have been so blessed to see the body of Christ (from many different fellowships in town, not just ours!) come together to love and support us in numerous ways. God is always good.

So what does our fruitful year ahead look like? Certainly, only God knows, but there are some areas where we would appreciate your prayers. We had taken a break from our home fellowship during the winter months but we will soon resume in March. We have found that a home fellowship is always a much more personal time of fellowship and we look forward to cultivating these deeper relationships.

The women's ministry will begin meeting regularly for prayer and we look forward to seeing the spiritual growth of each of the women as well as the impact they will have on our community in seeking the Lord's will together. Our Men's ministry has a conference coming up in March and the ladies will once again have their retreat in May. Please, join us in prayer that the men and women attending these events will have soft hearts, open to hearing the Lord speak directly and personally to them as they grow in Christ.

We know this year will be one of the most fruitful years we have ever had and we have seen God turn our heartache back into joy through the power of His cross and resurrection. We are so very thankful that death is not the final chapter in the story of a Christian. Heaven, in the very presence of Jesus, is the greatest place of all time for the Christian! God remains faithful and good.

We thank God most of all for His unfailing love, and also we thank you for your prayers for our family and for the church He is establishing here. May the Lord bless you and shine through your life in such a real and powerful way that He alone will get all of the glory. Blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord!

- Pastor Tim, Anna, Joshua, and Caleb Molter

PS. If are going through a loss in your life or know of someone who is facing a trial filled with deep sorrow and sadness. You can help by sharing with them the certain promises of God's unfailing love and the hope of Heaven that we have because of Jesus Christ. The following link is to a message that we shared with our fellowship after we cried out to the Lord and received His wonderful comfort. Our prayer is for it to encourage many others!
