It's been a while since you last heard from us but with a resounding "Yes!", we are still here! Here is a short summary of what our summer has entailed!
Outreaches
We have had two outreaches this summer. The first was at a community wide event called SummerFest, held at the beginning of summer. We had an informational booth set up and talked with many people, giving out Bibles and getting the word out about who we are and our desire to serve Fergus Falls with the love of Jesus. Over the last few years we have been here, we are learning more and more that people are watching and waiting to see if we will "stick it out". This opportunity to be visible in the community may not look like it had much impact at first glance but we trust that in the long run it did.
Our second outreach was held just a few weeks ago. We showed the movie Woodlawn in an open event to the community. As the movie came to a close, those who came began to softly join in singing along to the old hymn, "they will know we are Christians by our love" slowly getting louder and louder. Oh, how our hearts were touched at this amazing sight and sound. We ended the night in a time of prayer for revival within our community. Our desire was to reach the unchurched but God had plans to use this event to encourage and equip others from local fellowships with a heart for evangelism. Praise God!
We had a blessed time visiting many of our friends and family as we traveled to California for the Pastor's Conference back in July. It was a joy to see so many of you and to share with you in person what the Lord is doing here in the Midwest. And what a privilege it was to teach at the Calvary Chapel Chico services and give back to the church that sent us out and continues to bless us in so many ways.
Moved into a house
Just before we made our visit out to the West coast we closed on a house and quickly moved in. Although we are a small fellowship here it was so touching to see everyone come and help us move. How humbling it is to receive grace and be loved on by others you seek to out bless. Our kids love having their own rooms, being close to a park, and having a backyard to play in as well.
Our little Joshua turned 5 years old recently in August and is growing up fast. What a blessing it is to see him slowly mature and grasp God's Word and to see his desire to be a helper with anything. And he is excited for school and his younger brother Caleb is on his feet running right behind him.

(a family that serves Jesus together with joy can get through anything together with Jesus)
(our boys love to play together and have a wonderful sense of humor)
Praise Reports:
- Praise God for helping our family find a home and for our blessed time at CC Chico
- Praise the Lord for His faithfulness in providing financially for our trip to California
- Praise God for helping us keep our eyes upon Him, and for staying the course
Prayer Requests:
- For our church leadership team to have wisdom as we actively look for our own building
- For us to continue to invite people into a relationship with Jesus, and help them grow
- For God to continue to add to His church and to help us remain united in Christ
