Hello Friends and Family,
We had a blessed 'Holy Week' and pray you did as well. On Palm Sunday we were able to look at John chapter 19 "The crucifixion of Jesus Christ" and then on Resurrection Sunday (Easter) we looked at John chapter 20 "The resurrection of Jesus Christ". Now, I'm not that smart to have that kind of timing planned out eight months ago when we started through the Gospel of John. The glory goes to God. He is truly leading and guiding us here and we are grateful for your involvement with your prayers and support. Remember that the effectual prayer of a righteous person in Christ Jesus has great power and produces wonderful results in God's timing.
God is constantly reminding me that slow and steady growth is normal both for us as Christians maturing and for the body of Christ becoming a healthy church. I think Psalm 1:3 is a great picture of the Christin life in that we are like a tree planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. We are taking God at His Word and rest in His promises and praise Him as He adds to His church. And so with that comes the exciting news that it is time for us to move our services from our home to a new location. We are currently working on an agreement with our local YMCA to meet in their community room for our Sunday Bible studies. Also our family is moving to a larger place across town as we are now released from our home back in California. Praise the LORD!
Prayer request:
- Please pray for our family as we move across town. This will take place the first week of June.
- Please also pray for God's church here as we seek to find a new place to meet weekly and Lord willing at the YMCA (or wherever He desires).
- Please pray for us to have God's wisdom as we move forward and for a smooth transition for all of us.
- Please pray for us to continue to rely upon God and His provision for our church family. Where God guides God provides.
Praise reports:
- We have finished going through the Gospel of John (our first book as a Church) and have started the Book of Acts. What a blessing and a joy it has been to see people grow in the love and knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ.
- We thank the Lord for the two weeks we got to spend with Anna's mother Cindy and the blessing that she was to us here.
- We also praise the Lord for His provision through Tim's father John who as allowed us to stay rent free in Tim's grandmother's old home.
- God has blessed us and we thank you for your prayers because God has released us from our house and our mortgage in California. It was quite a long and faith-building trial but we were able to draw closer to the Lord through this season and God used it for His good.
