For sickness. Last Wednesday Joshua made his first appearance in the ER with a fever and labored breathing. They diagnosed him with just a simple upper respiratory infection but as new and concerned parents we whisked him off to the hospital anyway. After about a week of the most pitiful sounding cough, a drippy nose, much bulb syringe suctioning and the house being fully humidified, Joshua seems to be feeling much better. Praise the Lord.
Now Tim and I are sick. Actually even the dog is sick. Last night around 7PM, Coco started throwing up blood. After the third time we took her in to the doggy ER but all her tests came back fine, so they gave us some take-home meds and told us to monitor her through the night. She seems just fine now too. So hopefully now Tim and I will be on the "upswing" as well and we can all be through with colds and sicknesses for awhile! On the plus side, we did find out in the ERs that Joshua now weighs more than 16 pounds and little Coco still only weighs three and a half pounds.
